When we were watching Dark Road on the most recent KHUXDRMLr Zoom meeting (yes, I know that was a while ago, I kept forgetting to make the post lol) I noticed a detail that I, and apparently a lot of them, hadn’t before, so I’m throwing it onto the internet because I think it’s interesting.

See, we all know that Baldr kills Urd and Hermod in the Dark Corridor but Baldr actually goes after Xehanort and Eraqus in their scene as well.

It’s kind of hard to see in the actual game footage because he blends in but there is distinctly a figure in the shadow.

ALPHA KIDS: Draw your best friends!

DIRK: I'd say I'm better at one on one character interaction work of the more intimate variety, but I think this piece came together nicely. DIRK: Fun for the whole family style wholesomeness, any motherfucker in the radius of a screen displaying this image will instantly get hit with a sore case of heartburn and their tear ducts will clock in overtime at the weeping factory.

ROXY: im so proud of these i think these are my best designs yet :3 but omg dirk callie and jake were SOOO peculiar about their damn designs over my shoulder. jake wanted me to clarify that even in pink pen form his little guy is BLUE. so there. sigh this is the one occasion they could take notes from janey.. JUST LET LE ARTIST WORK!

JANE: Boy! I don't draw often but I always was fond of calligraphy growing up. I was kind of inspired by all of the other's works, but especially Calliope's swirls she puts in her art. It's very fun to add!

JAKE: Im not quite the best with posing, but i find the head very fun to study! Especially skulls.. so good ole calliope makes for the perfect muse! (hehe)

athena's body language in your we'll be fine animatic is so well done??

like the high five part really stuck with me because the body language is so good. she's so clearly reserved and not used to it and the way she makes it a small action is just. yeah. this is a goddess who's not used to Friends but she's doing her best and she's indulging this small sunshine boy.

I love seeing people notice that because I put so much thought on the way I make the gods move

like, I have this thing (that I was ever really able to show a little in Ruthlessness and We'll Be Fine) that I make some of the most prideful gods have a high reluctance to touch mortals at all.

in my Ruthlessness animatic for example, Poseidon spends the whole song beating up Ody and leaning in to his face, but he never actually touches him with his non-rock arm (and when he does, he straight up wipes his hand right after).

and Athena is a lot more friendlier here, but throughout the whole video she still keeps her head high and her arms folded around her back, only breaking that pose when she feels vulnerable. So when the "high five" happens it feels a lot more impactful.

I learned how to download fonts. 4 different programs were used.#This file is also poster sized (A4 dimensions)! I thought It would make the joke funnier for some reason.#Chuck Tingle's style is very iconic and fun to replicate. Despite the time intensive labour - I had a blast making this!#I admit to skimming most of the chapter this is based off of just to fact check a few details but boy did I learn things.#Wei Wuxian canonically has CAKE. Tiny waist and a fat ass.#I took several more notes but I will warn you now that I can't *not* find smut writing to be very funny.#This was pure chaos. Unbridled chaos.
